"This wine is a bargain of the vintage from the Medoc region. A small 5 acre parcel with good gravelly soils and and clay subsoil has mature vines 9 to 15 years of age. Blend 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, the wine was given some delicate oak treatment to add a note of toast and spice to the ripe black currant and cherry notes, along with hints wet stones, lavender and licorice. Drinks beautifully now but also can cellar for 3-5 years." wine express
